ROJO TANGO:
I hestitate as an amateur in the tango business to throw in a comment but we were in Rojo Tango at the Faena + Universe this week. There are two or three observations that come to mind: A. We paid through the Park Hyatt $170USD each for the package that included private car transport to/from the show, the dinner and the show, all beverages and tips. It's not "cheap." B. The music seemed "raw" to me in the sense that either the sound system was absolutely awful (a real possibility) or the musicians themselves were ...um...awful. The music bore no relation to any tango music I've ever heard with a complete lack of crisp notes, the transitions were poor and the entire effect of the music on our night was LOUD without being particularly effective or adding to the mood. C. The venue is small, and the floor upon which the dancers dance cannot be easily seen except from the tables facing the floor or (maybe) from the tables at the very back of the room (if then) because they are elevated. Part of the pleasure of watching tango is to be able to see the footwork. We were unable to see anything below mid-thigh. That was very disappointing. The food was good (but not great by any means) and the price for the dinner works out to about $45 and the show works out to about $US126. One or the other includes the transport. Our driver came to the hotel 20 minutes early which can contribute to a sense of being rushed. We are not sure whether that was the fault of the hotel or the tango program. Mrs. Info requests that I report she liked it very much. I thought not being able to see the footwork (and I am over six feet tall so it wasn't that I am short) and what I viewed as "terrible" music significantly diminished the experience.

CARLOS GARDEL:
During dinner and show we were seated together like cattle, we were sitting so close that if my boyfriend tried to move he would touch the lady beside hims bum. The seating gave no enjoyment of the dinner you just wanted to get it finished with and see the show. During dinner you are also bothered by people wanting to sell you things. The food was fine. The show was EXCELLENT. Very entertaining, the only thing I didnt like was the waiter hassling me in the middle of the show for tips even though eveything was prepaid. On this show go VIP or show only Paid USD 65 inc dinner

MICHELANGELO:
Here you are greeted with champagne, lovely welcome from the start. The building is lovely. The dinner is in a very romantic setting. You get your own table, probably one of the most romantic palces I have eaten, lovely, good food, excellent service, and atmosphere. You are so happy . The show was more based on singing but there is tango dancing as well. The music is good. This is the show my bouyfriend liked the most. USD 50 incl. dinner

MADERO TANGO:
Nice place, there is a famous chef that makes food here so I had a bit too high expectations. the food was good but not extraordinary expectionally good. Thy should have some more waiters here as each waiters has too many tables to attend too. The show was good, themed in different colours. USD 59

ROJO TANGO:
An experience of its own. The hotel is absolutely amazing. At the bathroom the water tap is shaped like a duck. Here everything was perfect, the setting, service, the show. If I try to be very picky I cannot find one fault with this show absolutely perfect. USD 130 incl. dinner

SENOR TANGO:
When it comes to this show I dont know if I shold laugh or cry. This is the only show where I have seen people LEAVING IN THE MIDDLE of the show, FALLING A SLEEP, wandering around impatiently hoping it would end soon. And yes it truly is that BAD. The begginning is ok, but the music is not good, in the middle there is man that starts singning and talking to music, bad music and mediocre voice, normally in a show its one or two songs but he sings for 40 minutes. It is boring, poeple are faaling a sleep , leaving, or hoping it would finish soon. We went to the show with drink option, but you only get 2 drinks. But the worst is you cant choose when you want them, The first is before the show, but you have to wait until the waiter comes to the table which took 20 minutes. the last one you have to have at the end of the show ( probably to keep people from leaving), so you can not chooes to have the last one earlier. You can order drinks during the show if you are lucky enough to find the waiter which is a challenge. BAD service My conclusion of this show . DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOW IF YOU WANT A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE OF A TANGO SHOW. NOT RECOMMENDED.

COMPLEJO TANGO:
Here there is also a tango lesson included before the dinner and show, but my boyfrriend didtn want to dance :( so we went to the dinner and show. The building isnt as flashy and as upscale as the others but it is nice. The food, service and show is very good. Liked it In this show they also show how men dance tango with men in the old days. I think the show is as good as Carlos Gardel. It is also a cheaper option. .net USD 42

I quoted these posts because I found them descriptive, I welcome any information you can send. Two other shows not mentioned in the reviewes are El Querandi and Taconeando.
